I’m very happy with the bread starters that I received from this shop. Obviously I haven’t made it yet but I’m looking forward to doing so! Yeah! Also I had to contact the shop and they were gracious and offered me more than I expected. I highly recommend them and will definitely patronize them again!

Followed the instructions given and after a week I made my first loaf. The instructions were 100% accurate in everyway. The bread wasn’t extra sour, just lightly sour, so I’d want to figure out how to get more sour in my future loaves. I’m a first time bread maker, so although I was very nervous, it turned out great.

After a number of mediocre efforts with sourdough, I tried this as one last attempt. Holy smokes! Success! And even more successful the second time around. Thank you so much. The bread is getting top reviews from those I’ve gifted it to as well as my husband who doesn’t like sourdough that is too sour or too tough. He’s delighted with the outcome!

Honestly couldn’t say anything nicer about this starter! I tried making my own for 2 months, with many unsuccessful floats. I bought this starter on hopes to make my sourdough journey easier. Boy did this exceed all my expectations! Starter was ready to use by day 6 and I made my first loaf, turned out absolutely amazing and perfect! My husband and I can’t stop eating it.

I have tried to get my own starter going multiple times with disastrous results. This dehydrated starter rehydrated and became active so easily! And the resources included to help you care for it are so helpful!

Near immediate activity. I noted signs of life within the first 6 hours after revival. This culture is simply beautiful and has a lovely "old fashioned" smell that I can't precisely explain to you, but recognize from my youth when bakeries, and myself, were still small. It smells exactly like "home" and is a treasure for sure.
The seller was kind, helpful and quick to respond to my questions.

I was able to make sourdough bread, pizza dough, cinnamon rolls, and I can’t wait to bake my next loaf. Tried to make my own starter, and after a month gave up with mold. Decided to buy this dehydrated starter and it works! I’m on day 4 and it’s happy and excited to feed and start the baking process tomorrow. First time trying sourdough and happy!
